As Far As Tom Cruise is Concerned, You're Either In or You're Out!
| Exactly why is everyone attacking Tom Cruise?
So he hopped up on Oprah's couch. Modern day culture has gone to far with political correctness. It's now a mission impossible (heehee) to have an opinion different from the norm. It doesn't matter that he may be right on a few things. If it goes against popular opinion, it's demonized. What has he said or done that's so wrong? He wants a family. He marries a cute starlet that admits to having a crush on him for years, that's a good thing. Calling Katie Holmes his captive, brain-washed victim, that's a bad thing. They have a beautiful little baby girl, that's a good thing. Calling her L. Ron Hubbard's spawn, that's a bad thing. He stopped to help a car accident victim (we all hope we would do the same), that's a good thing. The media criticizes and calls him grandiose (he probably saw twenty cars drive right past the accident and do nothing before he stopped), that's bad. Next time you wrap your gas-guzzler around a tree, I bet you hope Tom's cruisin' (haha) by. He's ambitious about work and passionate about his church, that's a good thing. You call him a fanatical super-villian destined to take over the world, that's a bad thing. He says easy or hard you have to do the right thing. Sometimes doing what's best for you or others can be extremely difficult. That's doesn't make him a fanatic. That's makes him motivated and courageous. It takes courage to do something knowing that it will hurt (like going to the dentist, eating your veggies and facing the fact that you're fat 'cause you eat too much, not because of your glands). Hey, paparazzo, try taking a picture of a celebrity doing something good, that'll hurt for sure. Do not give me the "he's a celebrity so we can invade his life all we want" speech. Tell that to Princess Diana's children. Your actions are not without reprecussions. To every action are consequences. Maligning someone for the sake of fun or profit is wrong, ethically & morally. The man can't cut a break. Gawker is quoted:
All you lazy-assed, physically unfit, mentally unclear, under-achievers should go pick up a copy of Dianetics and give it a read. I picked up my copy 10 years ago - I'm on chapter 3. Okay, so it's a little dense reading but my goal is to get to the end by the time the aliens come and weed out the worthy. |
Tune in tomorrow for the flipside. The opinion of an Ex Scientologist.
But if you need more of Tom Cruise right now...

I’m tired to see how people don’t respect Cruise’s beliefs. Why not? We are all free to do what we want in life and to practice the religion of our choice. Freedom of thought - does it sound familiar to you? It’s part of the Constitution and the Human Rights. Don’t do to others what you don’t want others to do to you - it’s the Golden Rule – sounds familiar?
Whoa! Scientology is a hot topic! Spain grants religious status and the hate club starts frothing at the mouth! Anyhow, I’ve been a Scientologist most of my life and I’ve found it very helpful. I’ve also learned how to help others, which is gratifying. Try it, you’ll like it.
If it didn't have the 'Religion' part I don't think there would be such anymosity. Why is there such a need to attack other religions? If you believe and have faith in your religion than preach it, practice it and feel sorry for those who don't join you.
I hear that initially L.Ron Hubbard didn't intend for it to be a religion but to be a course in mental health but all the psychologists of the day gave him grief so he changed it to a religion to avoid having to deal with the laws and restrictions.
