Beastie Boys Tour and CollectiveGood Mobile Phone Recycling

artmusicbeastieboys.jpg

We know that everyone is already psyched for the Beastie Boys U.S. summer tour, but now you have even more of a reason to be there. Not only will you be able to see one of the most amazing hip hop groups EVER, but you could also help the environment! CollectiveGood and ARIA(Artistic Resources in Action) have teamed up to collect old cell phones and accessories at each of the Beastie Boys’ concerts this august to reduce the threat of toxic chemicals in our water. Karmaloop will have its own Street Team reps manning the tables at the concerts, so keep an eye out for the CELL PHONE RECYCLING BOOTH to get rid of those outdated mobile phones and accessories in an environmentally friendly way! If changing the world isn’t incentive enough, you will also score a coupon for a Beastie Boys goodie redeemable online.

The net proceeds from this program will go to Native American wind farms to reduce CO2 emissions, and $1 from each Beastie Boys ticket goes to an ECOFUND which supports REVERB, an effort to get musicians and their fans involved in the environment. So, pat yourself on the back, because you are officially making a difference (and seeing one of the hottest concerts this summer)!

For more information go to http://www.reverbrock.org/beastieboys/ , pick up some tickets to one of the concerts and don’t forget to bring your old mobile phones and accessories.

If you can't make it to the concert but still want to recycle your old phones for cash or prizes check out Gadget Growth Fuels Eco Concerns.
